Amplify is a for-charity SFW zine themed around the relationship between Jirou Kyouka and Kaminari Denki. Pieces in this zine should revolve around their relationship, and be canon-compliant or canon divergent.

I’m a selective shipper who loves ships that have soulmate potential in each other, thus I’m very drawn to KamiJirou! I’ve been in fandom for about 4 years now, and I enjoy every second of it. I have experience moderating multiple discord servers, and I am the head mod of Twin Stars Week (@twinstarsweek). I’ve also been a contributor for both art and writing on a fair amount of zines and have participated in multiple fan weeks and bangs. FAQ
What is a zine?
A zine is a self published booklet. This zine specifically is a fan made publication about Kaminari Denki and Jiro Kyouka. There will be short fanfics, fan arts, comics, and perhaps some other interesting fan made content!
What kinds of merch will be available?
Mods have made no decisions at this point about merch. We have ideas that are fun and different, but want to wait until after the interest check closes before we continue on with merch planning. Some merch that have been kicked around include: prints, stickers, posters, guitar picks and the like.
What is the zine rating?
PG13, this is an SFW zine.
What do contributors get?
We are offering free PDF versions of the zine and all merch options, however, if the zine sells enough for the mods to provide free books/bundles for the contributors that is what we want to do!
What kind of charity are you wanting to support?
Since music is incredibly important to the characters, we would like to support a music charity, however, we are open to suggestions!
How will I know if I get picked as a contributor?
Mods will be sending out e-mails to the account on your contributor application in mid-April. Keep your eyes on Twitter for an announcement that e-mails have been sent.
Do I have to have a beta?
Please try to secure a beta. Mod Bitchy will read before final drafts are approved.
Are you planning on doing the physical or digital zine and merch?
We are planning on having options for a physical copy of the zine as well as physical and digital merch options including a PDF of the book. More details to come about bundles!
Is there an age limit for the people who can participate?
The minimum age we will accept for a contributor is 16 years old.
Is it possible to have just the merch and digital zine?
Depending on interest checks we are planning on offering a bundle of just merch and a PDF of the zine as well. More details about bundles to come!
Can I be an artist AND a writer? Or do I have to pick only one?
You are of course welcome to apply as a writer and as an artist! Although we can not guarantee that if we ask you to be a writer you will also be asked to create art for the zine and vice versa.
Will you be allowing multi shippers to join?
Multi shippers are more than welcome to participate! In fact, the current mods are multi-shippers. As long as the content of the piece that is created for the zine is Kamijiro centric, we have no problem with allowing anyone who is enthusiastic about the ship to participate!
How do we sign up to join the zine?
Our interest check is currently open. Contributor applications will open in March!
What are the Specs for the zine?
Once the interest check is completed, the mods will have a better idea of the zine specs.
Do contributor applicants have to have previous zine experience?
Not at all! We want people who are passionate about KamiJirou! As well as someone who has talent and is dedicated to making this project the best it can be!
Are you going to have any guest artists or writers? Or will they all be determined by apps?
We have a few guest artists and writers in mind and have reached out to a couple already! Keep your eyes open for announcements regarding that in the near future!
How many of each contributor are you wanting to accept?
Mods have vague numbers we are anticipating asking for, but will assess once the interest check closes.
If a music video becomes a thing, I think it'd be fun to do a side collab with any fellow musician contributors interested.
We do too! Mods have lots of ideas and can't wait to collaborate - especially if there are any animators interested!
Do you need mods? If so what are the requirements for becoming a mod?
Right now we are not looking for any additional mods. However, this may change once the interest check closes and we assess our needs!
Is the zine focused on canon-compliant or are AUs acceptable?
This project is slated to be canon-compliant/canon divergent. The only acceptable AU would be a "pro hero" AU in which the characters are adults.
Will this zine be completely SFW?
This entire project, including the add-on, is rated PG-13, and thus will be SFW.
Will the zine include hero activities or be more music themed?
The main zine will be focused around the KamiJirou relationship. Mods are considering a separate music themed add-on, however, it will still be relationship driven.
Will you allow collabs?
Mods prefer and encourage collaboration in their projects, as long as the constraints of the project allow for it.
What is a pinch hitter?
Sometimes contributors need to drop out of a project and mods will ask people to come and fill in the gaps that they left. We call these people pinch hitters.
Will we be able to create two pieces if we really wanted to?
There will be opportunities to create multiple pieces. We have several events planned throughout creation and we are planning to have an add-on as well.
